At the tender age of 9 out of his hometown in Colorado, Chad was taken to a theme park by his father. There he was introduced to his very first live stunt show; putting him on a path that would ultimately change the course of his life forever. He sat and watched every show that day and from that day forward he began his quest on becoming a Hollywood Stuntman. He began by shooting his own movies where he would step in as the "stunt double" and perform various gags ranging from fights, falls to getting hit by a car. Eager to build his skills he wanted to train in karate and gymnastics but sadly his family was unable to afford the training that he felt was detrimental to his growth. Being raised in a very modest middle class home by his grandparents they were only able to provide the necessities, yet his grandmother was always his biggest support encouraging and pushing him to achieve his dream.
Entering his adolescent years with the dream of becoming a Hollywood Stuntman in full force he auditioned and landed his very first stunt job at the same theme park which had inspired him years ago. By the age of 20 Chad was now taking on the full time role as Stunt Coordinator and show manager for the Batman Thrill Spectacular Stunt Show at Six Flags. After 7 long years, he knew that to make a better life for himself and his new son he had to make the move to Hollywood...but knew he needed a plan. He put himself through school to obtain an EMT Certification with the idea to move to California and work for an ambulance company. With only $1,200 dollars Chad made the move that ultimately decided his future. Three rough years in Hollywood working as an Extra on television and film and working 24 hour shifts for an Ambulance company Chads passion only grew stronger.
Finally, it's official! Chad is member of the Screen Actors Guild and has landed his first stunt job on film with the award-winning group Daft Punk. With great determination, steady perseverance and a great dream (that most days seemed so out of reach) Chad was now standing in the vast desert with the sun slowly falling from sight. The director yells "action" and Chad is fully engulfed in flames, symbolically lit with the fire that could never be extinguished. Later that year Chads first stunt was set in stone with a page spread in Premier magazine.
Today Chad has gone on to work with some of the greatest stuntmen/women,coordinators,and directors in the business and has begun the transition into Stunt Coordinating. He is a true testament that with hard work, dedication and a true love for your craft anything is possible.
