Trenton Waterson is an award-winning independent film producer based in Los Angeles, CA. His films, critically acclaimed by Variety, the New York Times and LA Times, have found distribution across competitive platforms such as Netflix, Hulu, IndieFlix, Apple iTunes, Google Play, Amazon Video and Vudu.
Waterson's most recent film, "Little Hope Was Arson" (Slamdance Film Festival 2014), released theatrically in New York and Los Angeles and sold to PBS' Emmy-award winning series, "Independent Lens" in addition to Netflix for worldwide distribution.
Waterson's independent film banner, theCollaborate, has produced several other short films that have premiered in dozens of film festivals worldwide and star the talents of Kenneth Branagh, Jennifer Morrison, Lacey Chabert, Amy Davidson and Dominic Bogart.
Trenton's independent credits come while working seven years simultaneously for Marvel Studios both as a Creative Executive on the production and development team ("Iron Man 3", and as part of the production management teams for Marvel's films ("Spider-Man", "Captain America: Civil War", "Marvel's the Avengers" and "Thor"). Trenton has also worked in production offices for the Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Group, Jerry Bruckheimer Films, Touchstone Pictures, New Line Cinema and Spyglass Entertainment.
Trenton is in development on several feature films he plans to produce in 2016 and 2017 including "The Washita Valley" (Protos Pictures), "The Marrying Kind" (theCollaborate), "Aztec Wedding" (theCollaborate), and "Little Hope Was Arson" (theCollaborate, Good Night Smoke). He also continues production of "@DesertFriends", the world's first Instagram TV series guest staring Tony Hawk.
Waterson frequently travels home to his family's farm in Northern California, and enjoys his Sonoma County roots, which have fueled his passion for wines and future interests in wine production.
