The 38-year-old comedian recalls telling the 27-year-old singer, "I said, 'Look, if I come over you got to make me some BBQ chicken, some potato salad and a brisket.' And she was like, 'Ok,' and I was like, 'I'm gonna bring over some collard greens 'cause I got my own garden.'"

Haddish brought over her "joyful greens" and was pleased with what Swift had prepared. "First off, Taylor can cook," she exclaims. "The chicken was bomb! And she made cornbread, bomb! So good."

The breakout star says Swift was also impressed with her dish.

‘The Shape of Water’: Guillermo Del Toro Takes You Inside the Best-Designed Film of 2017

‘The Shape of Water’: Guillermo Del Toro Takes You Inside the Best-Designed Film of 2017
After a decade of bringing his personal style and sensibility to larger studio movies like “Crimson Peak,” “Pacific Rim,” and the “Hellboy” series, Guillermo del Toro wanted to return to the smaller, more personal fables he created with “The Devils’s Backbone” and “Pan’s Labyrinth.”

While Del Toro’s fables don’t have the elaborate action scenes and the sprawling canvases of his franchises, they are every bit as dependent upon his visual storytelling and world-building skills. To make “Shape of Water,” del Toro put up $100,000-plus of his own money and, with a small team of collaborators, designed the world of his amphibian love story before pitching it to financiers.

“This is the reverse of what I did on ‘Pan’s Labyrinth,’” said del Toro. “Instead of pitching for the three years, trying to find the money, I developed for about two years the look of the movie

How Jena Malone Really Feels About Getting Cut from Batman v Superman
When director Zack Snyder was in production on Batman v Superman, many were surprised to see photos of the director's Sucker Punch star Jena Malone on the set, since she wasn't announced as part of the main cast. Rumors quickly circulated that she was playing Robin, a.k.a. Carrie Kelley. But it was revealed in Zack Snyder's director's cut that her character was Jenet Klyburn, a S.T.A.R. Labs forensic scientist who helps Lois Lane (Amy Adams) uncover the secrets from that mysterious bullet fired in the desert. When asked if it was "weird" to learn that her entire part had been cut from the movie, Jena Malone had this to say.

"No, it wasn't. I had some scenes. It wasn't-for me, the beauty of working with friends is that someone can call you up and be like, 'I'd love for you to come and do this part for two days.

Take Me Review: The Perfect Post-Thanksgiving Dinner Movie

Take Me Review: The Perfect Post-Thanksgiving Dinner Movie
It's Thanksgiving. You and the family have just finished your meal. And you want some lighter fare, suffering from the tryptophan buffet you just willingly engorged yourself with. The kids are off playing on their tablets. The game is over, and the adults need a swift 80 minute distraction before tearing into pumpkin pie and cobbler. Why not check out one of Netflix's looked-over gems from the past few months. It's the perfect little slice of desert before the desert. Don't spend hours searching the queue, arguing over what you're going to watch. Just select Take Me and go!

Take Me, while not a Netflix Original (it is only "Presented By Netflix"), is a home run for all the parties concerned. This whimsical tale of a simulated kidnapping gone very, very wrong is probably the first film to truly pull off this motif since 1986's Ruthless People or 1988's A Fish Called Wanda.

Taylor Swift's "New Year's Day" Lyrics Reveal So Much About the New Taylor

  • BuzzSugar
Taylor Swift's Reputation has finally arrived and it's glorious, but there's something extra special about the album's bittersweet final track, "New Year's Day." Thanks to Swift's special performance of her old-school anthem on The Tonight Show, "New Year's Day" may always be associated with Jimmy Fallon's mother now. However, as beautiful as the moment when Fallon and Swift embraced was, the song wasn't written as an ode to the comedian's late mother. If you want to know if there's a bigger meaning behind "New Year's Day," you don't have to look any further than the lyrics. The track is a standout not only because it has that "old Taylor" feel, but also because of its maturity. "New Year's Day" reveals a Swift who is looking for lasting relationships. She's not interested in the fleeting moments of happiness that come when the ball drops as the old year fades away.
