Emanuel Heinstein is Founder, Head of Curation and CEO at Cuelr.com, a new take on fast, easy music discovery.
Since starting his career in the music business at the age of 16, Emanuel has tried to find entrepreneurial ways to help equalize music, promote its diversity and transcend preconceived geographic barriers. As a music professional in London and Los Angeles, the primary focus of the work became developing new platforms and distribution channels for new artists that would help decentralize the music industry, maximizing the value of independent music. In 2016, Emanuel went on to develop the music discovery and curation service, Cuelr.com. The service was built for music supervisors and entertainment professionals that need to be able to slice music data, looking at it from various angles to spot new, relevant music and trends. An inexhaustible curiosity and thirst for new music experiences from around the world are what's driving Emanuel and his team.
Prior to Cuelr, Emanuel has worked at MTV and Sony ATV where he music supervised blockbusters, trailers, video games, TV series, ad campaigns. He managed Sony's exclusive production music catalog 'Extreme Music', developed an ad-centered radio platform and curated feature playlist series for ExtremeMusic.com.
As a music producer and composer, Emanuel has written and produced scores, soundtracks, title songs and ad music for NBC Universal Television Music, CBS, Sony Pictures Television Inc., MTV Networks, WEA, Virgin, Stephen Gyllenhaal Films, ZYX, Fishbowl Films, Power Position Productions, Kallissa Productions, Endemol USA, EVA, Mrs Right Productions, Suedwestrundfunk, We Love Film, Arte, ZDF, ARD Produktionen, Real Reel Doc AB, Ish Entertainment, BFF Productions, Evolution Film & Tape Inc., Mary Kay Inc., Global Underground, Electra USA, Loud Records.
Emanuel has been a DJ since his early teens, touring some of Europes best clubs, festivals and most innovative radio stations including the Rex Club, Radio Nova, Radio NRG and curating, music supervising and deejaying selected corporate and media events for American Institute of Architects, Gensler, Waterworks LA, and the MTV Music Video Awards and MTV Movie Awards.
Most of his time is now spent building the Cuelr brand, driving the discovery and curation service to the top of its field. He is the decision-maker on strategy and policy, leader of Cuelr's music curation, manager of its development teams and executer.
