‘Disorder’ Director Opens Up About Struggling With Ptsd at New York Premiere
“I was like ‘Oh my gosh! F—k, I cursed,’” laughed Diane Kruger at the New York City premiere of her film “Disorder” at Landmark Sunshine Cinema on Tuesday night. The German actress was referring to her appearance on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” a few days before where she dropped the F-bomb while imitating a German accent. “I was delirious,” she joked.

Kruger alongside writer-director Alice Winocour was celebrating the American open of “Disorder (Maryland),” which bowed at Cannes Film Festival in 2015. The psychological thriller follows a former soldier (Matthias Schoenaerts) suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder who is hired to protect a wealthy businessman’s trophy wife (Kruger) and son.

Winocour said she was inspired by the stories of soldiers, but was personally drawn to Ptsd because of her own struggle with the disease. “I also have experienced Ptsd myself — giving birth to my daughter and almost dying of it,

The Tony Award-winning musical Ragtime will receive a one-night site-specific developmental concert on Ellis Island on August 8, 2016. An all-star cast of Broadway and Off-Broadway veterans including Olivier winner Laura Michelle Kelly, Tony and Grammy nominee Brandon Victor Dixon, Emmy winner Michael Park, Robert Petkoff, Shaina Taub, and five-time Emmy nominee Georgia Engel will perform a selection of songs from the American musical with music by Stephen Flaherty and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens. 11th Annual Broadway Backwards to Feature Broadway’s Best

New York City’s Lgbt community is getting a little backwards come Monday. The 11th annual Broadway Backwards event will take place March 21 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (the current home of “Kinky Boots”). Produced by fundraising org Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, the evening of revelry will feature some of Broadway’s finest, and benefit both BC/Efa and The Center, which provides members of the Lgbt community health and wellness resources. Tony winner Julie White, a longtime advocate and supporter of BC/Efa, will bring her singular charm and hilarity to the festivities as host. Official: Sandy Duncan Takes Temporary Leave from Finding Neverland for 'Family Obligations'

The producers of Broadway'sFinding Neverland have regretfully announced that the beloved stage and screen actress Sandy Duncan, who recently joined the magical production in the role of Madame Du Maurier, must take an immediate, yet temporary leave of absence from the show due to family obligations. Up-and-coming pop artist and Disney star Zendaya, handles the vocals sung by the Neverland cast on stage, which includes an interchanging group of child actors as the Davies boys, Kelsey Grammer, Laura Michelle Kelly, and Matthew Morrison, who had his last performance yesterday, Jan. 24.
