For the Robert J Mackey Foundation, she helped produce a golf tournament for 15 years raising money for Cystic Fibrosis Research in loving memory of her brother Bob.
Won the SAG BookPal of the year award in 2000.
Mary taught a class on Hope at the Los Angeles Metropolitan Detention Center. This is part of the Living In Freedom Everyday (LIFE) program. She taught life skills using the book "The Seven Decisions" by Andy Andrews.
She created an arm to BookPALS in San Francisco in which actors read to children in Family Homeless Shelters, and coordinated the program for six years.
