When we first see our duo at a cozy local New York City bar, Sheila (Kaley Cuoco) has had her eye on Gary (Pete Davidson) for quite some time. She’s staring at him with a freneticism and urgency that bartender Phil (Kevin Corrigan) mistakes for lust (who can blame him?). When Sheila, all too-big smile and bright dress, finally sidles up to the doe-eyed loner, it seems we might be in for — what’s that — a meet cute. But this isn’t a meet; it’s all happened before. Mark Duplass is back for more in Creep 2.
The Orchard announced Wednesday that the Blumhouse and Duplass Brothers sequel will be released digitally Oct. 24. It will then be available on Netflix later in the year.
Patrick Brice again directs the follow-up to the 2014 horror title, and he and Duplass reteamed to write the script. Carolyn Craddock produced, with Blumhouse’s Jason Blum executive producing alongside Mark Duplass, Jay Duplass, Mel Eslyn, Chris Donlon and Josh Braun.

Six-second video sharing app Vine has only been available since this January, but already the film industry has been hard at work considering what exactly to do with it, from filmmakers and actors embracing the app to Oscilloscope releasing the David Cross comedy "It's a Disaster" in six second loops. The Tribeca Film Festival, which ended Sunday, joined in on the Vine loving this year by promoting a six second film festival. Tff Programmer Genna Terranova created a shortlist, which was then presided over by a panel including filmmaker Penny Marshall, actor Adam Goldberg, and the team behind the website 5SecondFilms. The winner, in the categories of Genre, Auteur, Animate, and Series, receives a $600 cash prize (ostensibly $100 per second of Vine).
