Rumors have been circulating for a while now about what would be included in the soundtrack to Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, and by and large they turned out to be mostly true. The complete track list has popped up on MySpace, and offers an assortment of songs inspired by the curious characters in the movie — with a pop and goth twist.
Only one song, "Very Good Advice" by The Cure's Robert Smith, is a cover of a tune from Disney's 1951 animated version of Alice. (We've listened to the original on YouTube and are tring to imagine exactly how he might interpret it).
The compilation, Almost Alice, won't hit stores until March 2nd, but a video for Avril Lavigne's "Alice (Underground)" is slated to come out in early February. And now here's the list itself:

The soundtrack for Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland was revealed today… and here is the tracklist featuring which comes out on March 2nd and will be titled Almost Alice. Thanks to Collider for the heads up.

Here’s some more news if you can’t wait to ‘hear’ more from Alice in Wonderland The brand new soundtrack listing for Tim Burton’s latest movie, has been released to the world via MySpace. The Album is going to be called ‘Almost Alice’ and will feature tracks from the likes of Franz Ferdinand, Avril Lavigne, The All-American Rejects, Owl City+ many more. There’s also be a collaboration between Mark Hoppus and Pete Wentz too.
Head on over to MySpace for further info. According to the site, it’ll be available to buy 2nd March (I don’t know if this will be the same in the UK).

Walt Disney has released the soundtrack listing for Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. While I don’t know how the music plays into the movie, it’s loaded with popular artists like Franz Ferdinand, Avril Lavigne, The All-American Rejects, Owl City, Mark Hoppus and Pete Wentz, Wolfmother, Robert Smith from The Cure and many others.
The album, which is being called Almost Alice, will be in stores in March 2nd, with a video for the soundtrack’s first single, “Alice (Underground)” by Avril Lavigne, due in early February. Hit the jump for the full track listing:
