Anila Mirza was born in Hillerød, Denmark to a half-Pakistani and half-Iranian mother and an Indian father of Iranian descent. She met Amir El Falaki for the first time at a New Year's Eve party in 1998 and in the following, they formed the band Toy-Box. The band broke up in 2003 and Anila went solo. However, she did sing duets with Arash Labaf.

She is good friends with Amir El-Falaki, Arash Labaf, and Rebecca Zadig.
Her first name means "wind" in Sanskrit and her last name means "son of the lord" in Farsi.
She is one quarter Pakistani on her mother's side.
Released her first solo single "Bombay Dreams." [2005]
Left the band Toy-Box which broke up in that same year. [2003]
