Following his marriage to Japanese acrobatic dancer Reiko Hashimoto in 1960, the couple became regulars on the late-night TV talk show circuit, billed simply as "Jack Douglas and Reiko". They also played numerous clubs together and had two children, film composer Robert Douglas and studio technician Timothy Douglas.
