Anthony J. Rickert-Epstein (A.J.) was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and has been making films since he was 8 years old. He attended Miami University of Ohio, graduating by the age of 20 with a bachelors degree in Mass Communications and a minor in Film Studies.

At 21 years old, the teaser trailer to A.J.'s first feature film writing/directing effort, Fingerman: Dr. London and The Triangle Force, was chosen out of nearly 15,000 submissions and appeared in a 30 second promotional commercial for Steven Spielberg and Mark Burnett's reality television series "On The Lot". It played during American Idol, Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader, and Family Guy - shows with a combined total nearing an average of 50 million viewers.

Today A.J. is primarily working as a cinematographer. Still at a young age of 26, he has already lensed over 14 feature length films and has worked with some amazing directors and some well respected and talented actors. The most recent films A.J. has lensed are "The Exodus of Charlie Wright", starring Andy Garcia, Aidan Quinn, Gina Gershon, Mario Van Peebles, Danny Pino and Luke Goss and is due to be out in 2011, and "We The Party", directed by Mario Van Peebles.

A.J. prides himself on his relationship with the actors he photographs, and his ability to convert the director's vision into contextually creative moving pictures.
