Idw Publishing has announced that it is set to hit the sun-bleached streets of L.A. this summer with a comic book adaption of James Sallis’ modern noir classic Drive, which served as the inspiration for director Nicholas Winding Refn’s acclaimed film starring Ryan Gosling. The four part comic book series will be adapted by writer Michael Benedetto and artist Antonio Fuso; here’s the official description:
Drive follows a young man who escapes to L.A. to do one thing, drive. That’s all he does, and he’s the best. Whether on studio lots as a stunt driver or in high-speed chases evading the cops, there’s no one better behind the wheel. Idw Publishing has announced a Drive comic at WonderCon 2015.
The publisher teased the comic based on James Sallis's novel at the Anaheim, California event (via Cbr).
Idw assistant editor Michael Benedetto will write the series with art by Antonio Fuso.
The publisher is yet to announce any more details about the project.
2005's Drive centres around a stunt driver who drives getaway cars for criminals by night.
