Actress Bryce Dallas Howard, daughter of director Ron Howard, is best known for her roles in M. Night Shyamalan's The Village and Lady In The Water as well as genre films such as Spider-Man 3, Terminator: Salvation and the upcoming The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Now audiences will get to see a different side of the actress as she speaks the words of the great playwright Tennessee Williams in the adaptation of his long-forgotten screenplay The Loss Of A Teardrop Diamond, opening in theaters on December 30th. In the film, which Howard actually shot after Spider-Man 3 and before last summer's Terminator: Salvation, the actress plays the role of Fisher Willow replacing Lindsay Lohan who had originally been cast in the part. We have the official trailer up for the Paladin released "The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond" starring Bryce Dallas Howard, Chris Evans, Ellen Burstyn, Mamie Gummer, Ann-Margret and Jessica Collins. The film is rated PG-13 for some sexuality and drug content. Tennessee Williams wrote the screenplay for the romantic drama produced by Brad Michael Gilbert. This opens on December 30th. We also interviewed Chris Evans at last year's Toronto International Film Festival. "The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond" is a new drama based on a recently rediscovered original screenplay by legendary writer Tennessee Williams. AMC crosses 'Rubicon'

  AMC has given a greenlight to "Rubicon," a new conspiracy thriller series. The hour-long, 12-episode drama marks the third original series order from AMC. The first two, "Mad Men" and "Breaking Bad," have done pretty well for themselves. AMC orders 'Rubicon'

AMC is crossing "Rubicon," picking up the political thriller starring James Badge Dale to series.

"Rubicon," from writer Jason Horwitch and Warner Horizon, has received a 12-episode order.

Directed by Allen Coulter, the project revolves around a secret society that pulls the strings on the world political stage.

It centers on Will Travers (Dale), a brilliant analyst at a national think tank who discovers that his employers are not who they seem to be.

"Rubicon" is the third drama pilot for AMC and the third to go to series, following "Mad Men" and "Breaking Bad."

"I don't think we can do much better than that," said the cable network's Joel Stillerman, senior vp original programming and production.

The pilot for "Rubicon" was greenlighted almost a year ago, with the network's development team took its time to figure out where the mystery would go after the pilot.

The networks frustrate their viewers by prematurely canceling dramas. Well, for fans of Smith, The Nine, and Eyes, things are about to get a little better.

Smith revolves around a group of thieves and features Ray Liotta, Virginia Madsen, Simon Baker, Jonny Lee Miller, Franky G, Amy Smart, Chris Bauer, Shohreh Aghdashloo, K'Sun Ray, Tatum McCann, Lisa Vidal, Valarie Rae Miller, Elden Henson and Sidney S. Liufau.

The Nine follows a group of bank robbery victims. It showcases Lourdes Benedicto, John Billingsley, Jessica Collins, Tim Daly, Dana Davis, Camille Guaty, Chi McBride, Kim Raver, Scott Wolf, Owain Yeoman, Jeffrey Pierce, Tom Verica, Kim Staunton, and Michael Emanuel.

Eyes centers around a moralistic legal firm and stars Daly, Eric Mabius, Laura Leighton, Rick Worthy, A.J. Langer, Natalie Zea, Reg Rogers, and Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon. Five episodes aired on ABC, leaving seven unseen.
