Tiana Alcoran

Tiana Alcoran is an actress and dancer who uses
her performing arts to perpetuate indigenous culture and language.
Tiana was born and raised on the island of Hawaii where her family has
been for over five generations. Tiana's theatrical debut was an Aloha
Performing Arts Company production of "The King & I" at the age of 9,
performed at the Aloha Theatre. Her first introduction as a film
actress was in "Mana Ni Dakarete (Embraced by Mana)". She has been in
several TV shows including "Wind On Water", "Cooking With Cutty", "Area
Code" (808) and the "2004 Ironman Triathlon Documentary". Tiana has
been involved in over 30 theatrical productions both on and off stage
including "The Sound of Music", "The Lion, the Witch, and the
Wardrobe", "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", "Charlotte's
Web", "Big River", "Rocky Horror Picture Show", "Othello", "Romeo and
Juliet", and "Ola Na Iwi". Tiana comes from a multi-ethnic background
and has embraced the traditions of her homeland, the islands of Hawaii.
She began dancing hula at the age of 7 and continued to become a
professional hula & Polynesian dancer and instructor. She studied the
Hawaiian language for 5 years and during her senior year of high
school, worked as an educational assistant for the Hawaiian Language
Immersion School, Ke Kula O Ehunuikaimalino. After high school, Tiana
traveled to several different countries living & working with
indigenous people to encourage the performing arts through each
culture. Her performance/production locations include Hawaii (Big
Island), Oahu, Maui, Kauai, Moloka'i, Alaska, Florida, Minnesota,
Brazil (Rio De Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Fortaleza), New Zealand,
Fiji,American Samoa, Western Samoa, Taiwan, and Italy.
