Born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa, Kourtney made her way to Nashville in 2008 by way of a job in radio and her love of the South. After graduating from Drake University with a degree in theater, Hansen has appeared on stage in professional theater productions and served as a sidekick to Hatfield and McCoy on their morning show on radio station KJJY in Des Moines. She has also worked in the print and online media, films, commercials and music videos -- most notably Keith Urban's "Sweet Thing" and Luke Bryan's "Do I". The latter was named the USA Weekend Breakthrough Video of the Year at the 2010 CMT Music Awards.
Hansen joined CMT in early 2010 as a correspondent for CMT Insider. She's had the pleasure of interviewing Zac Efron, Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, Kristen Bell, Luke Bryan, Chris Young and more.
Hansen has also taught several styles of dance to children and adults and choreographed for many professional organizations. She is a former member and captain of the Nashville Predators' dance team and is an in-arena host for home games, host of Predators Snapshot on Fox Sports Tennessee and host for the Predators website features. Kourtney can be spotted at just about every home game entertaining Preds fans and supporting the organization.
Hansen's most recent project is the ABC drama, Nashville, where she plays Emily; the assistant to country music diva, Juliette Barnes played by Hayden Panetierre (Heroes).
She resides in Nashville with her fiancé, country music singer/songwriter Jeremy McComb. She appeared in his video for "This Town Needs a Bar" in 2008.
