Mini Biography

Beth Holloway-Twitty was born and raised in Pine Bluff, Arkansas where her family still resides. After marrying her college sweetheart, she raised two children in Jackson, Mississippi. Beth taught Sunday school and Children's Church in her hometown Methodist church for many years.

Earning her Bachelor's of Science in Speech Pathology with a minor in Special Education from the University of Arkansas in Little Rock, Beth went on to get her Masters in Speech Pathology at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. Professionally trained as a speech and language pathologist, Beth has taught special needs children in public schools in Mississippi, Arkansas, and now Birmingham, Alabama for 22 years. She is a member of the Speech and Hearing Association of Alabama.

Beth moved her daughter Natalee and son Matt to Mountain Brook, Alabama when she married George "Jug" Twitty six years ago. She provides therapy and special diagnostics in the Special Opportunities Preschool Program in Mountain Brook City Schools.

By her own account Beth has lived a quiet, somewhat uneventful life. That all changed quite dramatically last summer when Natalee disappeared.

This tragic story became the leading news mystery for nearly six months, and continues to make headlines today. Beth has vowed never to give up searching for her daughter, and never to quit seeking justice for her.

She is a dedicated teacher committed to sharing Natalee's story and delivering a message about personal safety to high school and college students. She established the International Safe Travels Foundation as the vehicle to achieve this, as well as to educate and inform the public about safe international travel. The foundation and the SAFE TRAVELS Student Safety Campaign are endorsed by the National Sheriffs' Association.
