- Co-founder of the Flat Duo Jets.
- Youngest of seven children.
- Fronted the Dex Romweber Duo with his older sister Sara (formerly of Let's Active).
- Attended Culbreth Junior High School and Chapel Hill High School in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
- In junior high school he formed Crash Landon and The Kamikazes, with stand-up bassist Tony Mayer (later of the Good Old Chicken Wire Gang Boys Band) and Hunter Landon on drums later to be replaced by his sister Sara.
- From a family of musicians beginning with his mother. Sister Sara played in the legendary jangle pop band Let's Active and Snatches Of Pink . Brother Joe was lead singer for UV Prom and Eraserhead.
- Started his first band at the age of 10, Gary and the Resistors, with classmate Hunter Landon (later of The Bad Checks) on vocals. He later recruited his 12 year old sister Sara to be their drummer. When his later fellow Flat Duo Jets Chris "Crow" Smith joined on guitar, the band became The Remains.
