Exclusive: Encouraging news for midseason NBC series The Night Shift – the network has ordered three additional scripts of the medical drama. Night Shift, about the men and women who work the wee hours at San Antonio Memorial, has an 8-episode order (pilot +7) as part of that complex four-show deal between NBC and Sony TV last May that included pickups of The Blacklist (with guaranteed Monday 10 Pm slot), Welcome To The Family and The Night Shift and a renewal of Community. The Night Shift pilot tested very well, with Irish actor Eoin Macken, who plays the lead, touted as a potential breakout star. Creators Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah executive produce with Pierre Morel. »

Suspension of Disbelief, 2012.
Directed by Mike Figgis.
Suspension of Disbelief is the story of Martin, a talented screenwriter and novelist currently going through a difficult patch in his career. But after the death of the mysterious and alluring Angelique and the arrival of her twin sister Therese, Martin’s world starts to change. In this noir thriller, nothing is quite what it seems.
The above synopsis is straight from the press notes for this film and whatever excitement you may be feeling after reading it, I can tell you that it is as much as this film can muster.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I read the synopsis for this film as there have been many recent examples in cinema that have tried and »

The Oscar-nominated Mike Figgis (Leaving Las Vegas) steps behind the camera once more for a return to the thriller genre with Suspension of Disbelief, a noir/erotic thriller that arrives digitally in the UK tomorrow.
In this sexy noir thriller, nothing is quite what it seems as both within and outside of the frame the line between fiction and reality is blurred.
Martin is a talented screenwriter and novelist currently going through a difficult patch in his career. Yet after the death of the mysterious and alluring Angelique and the arrival of her twin sister Therese, Martin’s world starts to change.

The Fall TV Season presentations for all the new network shows take place this week with the first announced today. Here's a full breakdown of which concepts have made the final list over on NBC.
The Peacock did not have a good year. Only one of its new shows, "Revolution," was a true hit. Another, "Chicago Fire," got renewed by the skin of its teeth whilst the fate of a third, "Hannibal," remains uncertain.
None of last year's new comedies survived, neither did two mid-season dramas, which leaves the network with some big holes to fill. Three dramas and three comedies will debut in the Fall ahead of three more dramas and two comedies mid-season. Two further dramas and a comedy are presently unscheduled.
Several other pilots didn't make the final cut and won't become series including the high-profile Charlize Theron-produced drama about the Hatfields and McCoys, the Bruckheimer-produced »

Take a look at a complete preview of the shows coming your way, and mark your calendars. It looks good for NBC this year, and while I’m not sure all of these look like winners, I think you’ll find at least a couple that you’re really going to like.
Blacklist – Fall
The Blacklist — (Photo by: NBC)
For decades, ex-government agent Raymond “Red” Reddington (James Spader) has been one of the FBI’s most wanted fugitives. Brokering shadowy deals for criminals across the globe, Red was known by many as “The Concierge of Crime.”
Now, he’s mysteriously surrendered to the FBI with an explosive offer: he will help catch a long-thought-dead terrorist, Ranko Zamani, »

NBC added one comedy and two more dramas to its 2013-14 roster, all from Sony Pictures TV.
Drama “Blacklist” has major heat. It centers on a white-collar criminal who turns himself in and offers to give up others. “Night Shift” is a medical drama set in a San Antonio hospital.
Here are the descriptions:
Parents Dan Yoder (Mike O’Malley, “Glee,” “My Name Is Earl”) and wife Karina (Mary McCormack, “In Plain Sight,” “The West Wing”) find out on the day their daughter Molly (Ella Rae Peck, (“Deception,” “Gossip Girl”) is graduating from high school with an acceptance to college, »

Encouraging news for NBC‘s off-cycle drama pilot After Hours, which is now titled The Night Shift. I hear the network has commissioned four backup scripts from the project, produced by Sony Pictures TV. The Night Shift, an ensemble medical show about a group of Army doctors who return to work the night shift together, was one of two drama pilots NBC ordered off-cycle, along with soapy mystery The Secret Lives of Husbands And Wives. The Night Shift, created by Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah, was originally developed by NBC last season. The network didn’t pick it up to pilot back then but kept it in contention with an order for a new script. The Night Shift was ordered to pilot in October with Pierre Morel directing and Eoin Macken, Jill Flint, Freddy Rodriguez, Ken Leung, Jeananne Goossen, Robert Bailey Jr and Brigid Brannagh starring. The project heated up »

We're less than 48 hours away from the close of Round 3 voting (Round closes Saturday evening at 11:59pm) and there's a huge upset brewing. Right now Merlin is kicking the crap out of Glee, while in more expected news, Arrow is having a tough time of it against Teen Wolf.
Before you make your final decision, let's celebrate the hotness of each show ... but we'll sidestep the usual suspects and pay tribute to the supporting beefcake. That's where the true flavor is. We'll start with Merlin vs. Glee
Stoner Brett (Ryan Heinke) may be unkempt and reek of weed, but this hot ginger is sweet-natured and well ... mellow. He might not be ... typical beefcake , but he definitely gives us the munchies. »
The Inside, 2010.
Written and Directed by Eoin Macken.
A man discovers a tape which depicts a group of girls being by tormented by violent vagrants before succumbing to a horrific supernatural evil.
When The Blair Witch Project, somewhat inconceivably, burst into cinematic pop culture in 1999, and popularized the found footage sub-genre, it started a wave of similar films, which still to this day continue. The popularity of the Paranormal Activity franchisehas also had a big impact on the horror genre and filmmakers' desire to delve into the found footage genre. With every new one that appears, little that could be called original is created. Once more audiences will discover the lost footage of something ghastly and paranormal with The Inside, an Irish made horror film.

Ladies and gentlemen, meet the new Shia Labeouf! Ok, not exactly, but Michael Bay has confirmed on his blog that young actor Jack Reynor has been cast to act opposite Mark Wahlberg in the upcoming Transformers 4. .He is an Irish kid that came to America with 30 bucks in his pocket,. Bay blogs about his new hire. .Pretty ballsy. Seriously who does that? Anyway I spotted him in a great little Irish movie What Richard Did. This kid is the real deal.. Richard isn.t the only credit on Reynor.s resume. He also has starred in Kirsten Sheridan.s Dollhouse and Eoin Macken.s Cold, which is in post-production. He has a part in Vince Vaughn.s The Delivery Man, which currently is filming in New York City. And he.ll move from there to the fourth Transformers, which Bay should begin filming later this year. As for the sequel, »
