I’ve beaten back the technological revolt happening in my apartment! It’s a time for celebration and joy. So two days ago, I saw the Batman Vs. Superman Ultimate Edition at a special event in theaters. On purpose. Seriously.

I purposefully dragged my fellow ComicMix columnist Joe Corallo because I couldn’t suffer through it a second time alone. For the record, he agreed to go and then was confused as to why he agreed. Also, I purposefully did not tell Mike, our fearless editor, that we were doing this since he tried to talk us out of seeing it the first go-around. (I only wish I could see his face when he reads this.)

Dance like nobody's watching. PBS has announced the new Dancing on the Edge TV show premieres Sunday, June 26, 2016, at 8:00pm. Watch the BBC Two trailer, below.

Set in the 1930s, Dancing on the Edge features black jazz musicians, the Louis Lester Band, as they rise to fame with London's upper class society. Capital: Pivot Acquires Us Rights for London Series

Pivot has acquired the Us rights for the south London-set Capital TV series. Watch a trailer, below. Shaw Media has acquired the Canadian rights, and BBC Worldwide has acquired the rights for Australia and New Zealand. The three part series is an adaptation of John Lanchester's novel of the same name. Capital originally premiered on BBC One in November, 2015.

The cast of Capital includes: Toby Jones, Rachael Stirling, Radoslaw Kaim, Wunmi Mosaku, Adeel Akhtar, and Gemma Jones. Written by Peter Bowker, Capital is executive produced by Derek Wax and Peter Bowker for Kudos. Lucy Richer executive prodcudes for the BBC, with Matt Strevens producing.

MipTV: Pivot Takes U.S. Rights to London-Set Drama ‘Capital’

Cannes — Participant Media’s television network Pivot has taken U.S. rights to British drama “Capital,” which has also been licensed by Shaw in Canada, and BBC Worldwide in Australia and New Zealand.

The three-part miniseries, which is produced by Kudos for the BBC in the U.K. and distributed internationally by FremantleMedia Intl., is an adaptation of the novel by John Lanchester. It revolves around the interconnected lives of a diverse group of Londoners who all reside on the same suburban street Pepys Road — but all is not as it seems.

Targeted by a mysterious hate campaign, each of the residents of Pepys Road receives an anonymous postcard through their front doors bearing the menacing message: “We Want What You Have.” But who is behind the campaign and what do they want?

The diverse dwellers include investment banker Roger (played by Toby Jones), who is eagerly anticipating his £1 million »
