Evil Dead (2013) One Sheet Releases

20 November 2012 10:30 PM, PST | MoreHorror | See recent MoreHorror news »

By Chris Risdal, MoreHorror.com

The Official One Sheet for the upcoming ‘Evil Dead’ remake is here. I have to say, I was waiting with surprising patience for the poster for the new “Evil Dead” remake.

Now that it’s finally come online, I have to say: I’m one happy camper in the dark dank woods.

The poster, which surprisingly features no spoilerific or exploitation of the film’s best moments, just a broken and beaten woman walking away from the scene of a horrific event.

It’s simplicity and uniqueness from other horror posters and producers Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell promising “The most Terrifying horror film ever” tops it.

This poster image comes from Yahoo! But, I’m sure you can find it in other areas as well. “Evil Dead” is set to release April 13th, 2013 from Sony Pictures Entertainment.

Sam Raimi and Rodo Sayagues wrote the screenplay alongside director Fede Alvarez. Evil Dead opens in theaters via Sony on April 12th, 2013. Evil Dead Red Band Trailer: Hold Your Tongues

24 October 2012 11:15 AM, PDT | Vulture | See recent Vulture news »

This trailer starts out nicely: Just a bunch of fine-looking kids going on a weekend getaway with their dog. But the next thing you know, there's an arm being cut off and a tongue being sliced in two. It's fitting, as this is the remake of Sam Raimi's bloody 1981 cult horror classic Evil Dead. It appears Raimi — along with co-writers Diablo Cody, Rodo Sayagues, and director Fede Alvarez — has removed all of the original's slight dark humor and traded it for the fast cuts and super-gore of contemporary horror. Suburgatory's Jane Levy plays Mia, the remake's version of Bruce Campbell's Ash. Let's hope this is a hit so we can see her with a chainsaw for an arm. »
