A long standing member of USAT Eddie (aka "Fast Eddie") has raced as a Professional and amateur Triathlete for more than 30 years combined. He has competed in hundreds of events, Regional and National Championship events, Vineman Ironman California where he finished 7th Place Overall, Ironman Wisconsin and the Hawaii Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii, USA. He first earned the nickname "Fast Eddie" from his Cross Country coach Chris Amaral while running Cross Country and Track for College of The Redwoods in Northern California. While at College of The Redwoods he trained extensively with 1991 ITU World Cup Winner and US Olympic Committee Male Triathlete of The Year 1993 - 1996, Mike Pigg and World-Class Triathlete and 2nd Place Kona Finisher 1987, Chris Hinshaw.
