Carlton Evans is an entrepreneur, producer, and film festival founder and curator with over a decade of experience in media, including film, television, and web.
As an independent producer, Carlton's work has screened at top festivals worldwide, including Sundance, Tribeca, and Rotterdam. Carlton's projects include Matthew Lessner's narrative feature The Woods (Sundance 2011), Connected (Sundance 2011), Death Metal Angola (Dubai International 2012), All Eyes And Ears (Tribeca 2015), and Crossing Bhutan (Santa Barbara 2016), Don't Leave Home (SXSW 2017). Carlton produced the shorts American Paradise (Sundance 2017), Yelp (Sundance 2011), and The Tribe (Sundance 2006) and executive produced China In Three Words (Palm Springs 2013), China Connection: Jerry, and China Connection: Joan (Palm Springs 2014).
Carlton co-founded and ran of the Disposable Film Festival, which ran for a decade, and celebrates innovation in new media filmmaking internationally. Carlton also co-founded Projector, which brings companies, causes and directors together to create films inspired by revolutionary ideas. Carlton holds a PhD in Art History and Film Theory from Stanford University.
