Sepinwall & Fienberg: A reunion conversation

15 June 2016 2:00 PM, PDT | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

It has been 257 days since Fienberg and I published the final installment of that podcast we used to do together. And in that time, each of us has received far more than 257 queries about whether the podcast might live again down the road. While we can't offer you a full-scale resurrection, we were just in Austin together for a long weekend (made a bit longer due to travel mishaps), and we thought we might do an early celebration of Dan's birthday (which happens to be today, so be sure to tweet him your best wishes) by recording a conversation that may in some way resemble the ones we recorded together in another life.  Because this is a one-shot deal and not a continuation of the old podcast (though we do dip into the old podcast mailbag one time at the end, for our own — and hopefully your — amusement), this conversation »

iZombie Video: Rose McIver Talks Liv and Major's Future, Season 3's Big Bad

27 May 2016 1:28 PM, PDT | TVLine.com | See recent TVLine.com news »

iZombie won’t be back in our lives until 2017, but star Rose McIver can already say one thing with certainty as we head towards Season 3: “No one wants to get cast as Liv’s love interest. They know where they’re going.”

McIver was, of course, alluding to Lowell (played by Bradley James) and Drake (Greg Finley) — her Season 1 and Season 2 boyfriends, both of whom are now six feet under — when TVLine spoke with her at The CW’s Upfront last week. But what about Major (Robert Buckley »

Warning: The following contains spoilers for Wednesday’s Supernatural finale

It’s not a Supernatural finale if one of the Winchesters doesn’t nearly or actually die for the 156th time (that’s a rough estimate). Wednesday’s Season 11 ender proves no exception as Dean and Sam once again say their goodbyes in the face of possible death.

Oliver comes crashing in to the rescue, but is unable to repel Darhk’s magic. Variety’s TV team brings you all the news and dish from TV’s biggest week of the year.

The weeklong marathon of upfronts came to a close on Thursday — earlier in the day than usual this year. Thanks to the mega-presentation that NBCUniversal held on Monday, the usual Thursday afternoon trek to the Javits Center for NBC’s cable portion was eliminated, leaving the day solely to the CW. The morning kicked off with the genetically blessed carpet, followed by the CW’s presentation, bringing an end to the jam-packed four-day marathon.

Stay in-the-know with our daily Upfronts Diary, and keep refreshing the page for new updates throughout the day and night.

Supergirl” was officially welcomed into her new home when star Melissa Benoist joined the faces behind the CW’s superhero shows on stage at the network’s upfront presentation in New York City on Thursday morning.

Prior to the upfront, Variety spoke to Benoist about “Supergirl” being renewed for its second season at the CW, after spending one season at big brother network CBS.

“I can’t say I’m surprised,” Benoist said. “I think it’s logical. I think it’s such a good fit — it feels like the right shoe size now.”

Shifting to a different network shouldn’t have a big impact on the tone of the series, Benoist says, adding, “I do know we’ll have the chance to maybe linger on stories that worked so well last season or stories from the comic-books and stories that stay true to the mythology, so hopefully we can »

The Originals' Tragic Death Leaves Klaus Out for Revenge In This Sneak Peek

5 May 2016 1:46 PM, PDT | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) is not someone who handles life well when things don't go his way, as we've learned over the past three seasons of The Originals (and on The Vampire Diaries before that). So naturally, he's not handling the death of his love, Cami (Leah Pipes) in the best way. E! News has an exclusive sneak peek at Friday's episode, in which Klaus is in the "anger" stage of his grief over Cami's murder. Well, Tbh, he's kind of always in a perma-anger stage but it's especially bad this week. He basically skips over the mourning and goes straight to the "avenging her death" portion of his grieving process, but Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) wants to do something a little »
