Stars Come Out For Pediatric AIDS Family Gala

It wasn’t your typical Saturday at Skylight Soho. Earlier this month, the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation hosted its 18th Annual Kids for Kids Family Carnival in New York City.
Skylight Soho was transformed into an “adventure through Africa” produced by the extremely talented David Stark Design and Production company. Families, celebrities and all other supports of this amazing cause came out to show their unmatched support for a cause to near and dear to their hearts. Over 600 supporters came to this year’s event, raising close to $1 million.
Many famous faces came out to shower their support, such as Bridget Moynahan, Ashley Argota, Sami Gayle, Kyle MacLachlan, Karlie Kloss, Cory Nichols, Sinorice Moss, Alexa Gerasimovich, Ashley Gerasimovich, Mackenzie Aladjem, Phoenix List, Spencer List and Dhani Jones.

Nickelodeon’s Austin Anderson and Radio Disney Stars Savvy & Mandy will host an “Ice Cream For Breakfast” social and concert to raise awareness and funds for Give Kids The World Village (Gktw), a Central Florida ‘storybook’ resort that provides cost-free vacations to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.
Special guest at the event will be All My Children’s Alicia Minshew, as well as Ashley Argota and many others, including:

Singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles has booked her first TV gig…on Nickelodeon.
Bareilles, who has been touring with Sugarland, will guest star on Nickelodeon’s new comedy series, Bucket & Skinner’s Epic Adventures, playing herself in an episode scheduled to air later this month titled “Epic Rockstar.” In the episode, Bareilles returns to her hometown of Pacific Bluffs to hold a songwriting contest, but trouble erupts after Bucket (Taylor Gray) realizes he accidentally submitted a love song about his secret crush, Kelly (Ashley Argota).

Ashley Argota will be one of the teenage stars attending this weekend’s Dream Magazine Summer Kick-Off Event and Fashion Show benefiting Cystic Fibrosis sufferer Caley Camarillo.

Teen Stars Front Anti-Cyberbullying Campaign For Nickelodeon

iCarly star Miranda Cosgrove is fronting a new TV campaign to raise awareness of cyberbullying.
As part of Nickelodeon’s The Big Help, a long-term effort to connect kids to issues and information important in their lives, the multiplatform, interactive initiative will include a website that will highlight Common Sense Media’s digital citizenship and anti-bullying advice — Common Sense’s “Rules of the Road” — to help kids practice safe and responsible online and mobile behavior.
The campaign will also include PSAs featuring the stars from Nickelodeon’s hit live-action series, including iCarly’s Miranda Cosgrove and Nathan Kress, who will share tips developed from Common Sense Media’s groundbreaking digital citizenship curriculum for avoiding and reporting cyberbullying. True Jackson, VP’s Ashley Argota and Gage Golightly from The Troop will appear in PSAs that will be featured on Nickelodeon channels and websites, including Nickelodeon, TeenNick and Nick.com.

Corbin Bleu Reads Children's Tale at Stellar Night Gala

Corbin Bleu became a children's storyteller during the Starlight Children's Foundation 2011: A Stellar Night Gala at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza on Saturday, March 26 in Century City, Calif. The "Sugar" actor has been serving as an active volunteer worker of the foundation for around two years. At the charity occasion, Bleu read a tale called "The Search for Wonderla" written by Tony Diterlizzi in front of some children.
About the event, Bleu said, "I got invited to one of Starlight's family activity events and fell in love with the organization. I'm actually their national spokesperson at the moment and have been working with them as their spokesperson for about two years now. I think everyone needs to be involved with charity because it's an opportunity to give back."

Cosgrove Fronts Nickelodeon Anti-bullying Campaign

Actress Miranda Cosgrove is leading a new TV campaign to raise awareness about bullying in the digital age.
The iCarly star has joined forces with executives at children's TV network Nickelodeon and a host of its young actors to stamp out the hurtful behaviour among youths and advise kids on what to do if they are targeted by bullies online.
In one advertisement featuring True Jackson, VP actress Ashley Argota, she says, "Sign off the computer; don't reply to a hostile messenger; block bullies from access; make a copy of the message to show to an adult you trust."
Nickelodeon's campaign has been launched across the U.S. in connection with officials at advocacy group Common Sense Media.
The TV stars aren't the only ones speaking out against bullying - celebrities including Justin Bieber, Christina Aguilera and Cher have all issued public service announcements in recent months following a spate of school suicides in America linked to bullying last year. »
