Biography:

Richard Hudson : Motion Picture Production Designer. Richard Hudson started working as a Costume and Set Designer at the age of 16. He later studied BA Theatre Design at Central St Martins College of Art and Design. Whilst studying, Richard worked as a designer for The Blue Orange Theatre Company, receiving a 5 star review from 'What’s On', 'The Stage' and 'Time Out' magazine. He also Art Directed a variety of short films for The International Film School and went on to study Production Design at the National Film and Television School. On graduating, Richard designed the period drama 'Devilwood' for Hangman Films, starring John Simm and Kate Magowan and has now completed two features, 'The Englishman' and 'Tu£sday', starring John Simm, Kate Magowan, Ashley Walters, Kevin McNally and Philip Glenister. Currently Richard is designing various themed Films and TV Pilots. Working with Directors; Bernard Rose, Sacha Bennett and Julia Jason. Producers; Piers Tempest, two time Oscar nominated Producer, Mike Figgis and Oscar winning Producer, Hugh Welchman. Recently Richard has appeared in 'The Mirror', newspaper in a personal article about working as a production designer and has been interviewed in a British TV documentary called 'Made in Britian'. Richard's style has a 'dark' theme. Most likely from his early work in a darkend Theatre.
