- Former NFL Quarterback who played for The New England Patriots, The New York Jets and The Miami Dolphins in his seven year National Football League career from 1996 to 2002.
- He is a graduate of Harrison High School in Harrison, New Jersey.
- He spent most of his career in the NFL in a backup role. In the 1999 NFL season, after quarterback Vinny Testaverde was injured in the first game of the season, Rick Mirer took the helm, winning four of ten games. Ray took over, and lost his first two starts but won his next four games to give the Jets an 8-8 record.
