Robert McKinnon, who's worked on Inception, Iron Man 3, and more, has posted some concept work from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice that features alternate versions of Wonder Woman's Sword of Athena and Aquaman's Trident of Neptune. Gal Gadot wonderfully wielded Wonder Woman's sword in Batman v Superman though not nearly enough in my opinion. There was also apparently a ton of detail on the final sword design the audience was never able to see. But McKinnon updated his website with several different versions they could have gone with. And they're pretty rad. She'll have yet another sword in the Wonder Woman solo film. It's likely she'll have more than one, or multiple types of weapons considering we're seeing a younger version of the Amazon princess who is still training with her family. But the other versions McKinnon came up with are all really interesting. Although...

We have quite some time to wait until the next DC Films Universe movie hits theaters (that will be Wonder Woman next July), but at least Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is still giving us some fun content to look at. Following that newly discovered Easter Egg, a batch of concept art - by Robert McKinnon (Captain America: The Winter Soldier) - has surfaced featuring some cool alternate designs. Among the pieces showcased in the gallery below are alternate designs for Aquaman's trident, Wonder Woman's sword, Batman's Kryptonite spear, and Superman's statue (which calls him a Nazi rather than "False God") and casket. With any luck, we'll start to see some cocnept art like this for Suicide Squad over the next few months, especially if it features some different takes on Jared Leto's Joker... ...

While you can accuse Zack Snyder of an awful lot of things when it comes to Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice, something you could never call the director is "Lazy." The man does a lot of work, especially when it comes to the art and design of his films. Indeed, he often leaves no stone unturned as he assembles all of the visual elements for his movies, and even the stuff that doesn't make it to the big screen is usually quite beautiful. And even the stuff that's on the big screen is filled with more details than the average fan is able to process.
A few days ago it came to light that Snyder buried an easter egg in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice that few managed to notice, and it's something that's a testament to Bruce Wayne's epic fight preparation.

A few cool new pieces of concept art have surfaced for Iron Man 3! There's a couple of digital sculpts featuring the Mark 42 and an unused design for War Machine created by Ryan Meinerding and Phil Saunders. Then we've got some concept art featuring the epic Malibu mansion attack scene from the film that was done by concept artist Rob McKinnon who had this to say about the designs in an interview:
Initially, the helicopters were going to be helo-jacked Army Apache gunships. However, there was a pretty cool design opportunity here. So we decided to come up with gunships disguised as civilian news and tour copters. It was fun, but very challenging. These copters had to be armed to the teeth, but couldn't be exposed until the moment of a surprise attack.
So I came up with the concept that the cabin doors crack open like stabilizer wings exposing the mounted armament.

The website, Film Sketchr, has nabbed an interview with Rob McKinnon. Rob is one of the many talented artists that lent his skills to the making of Iron Man 3. Below you can read an excerpt from the interview and see some of his IM3 artwork. Film Sketchr: While every design you do for a movie is a thrill, was there something special you remember designing for this film? Rob McKinnon: The helicopters that attack Stark's house are my favorites. Initially, the helicopters were going to be helo-jacked Army Apache gunships.
