Has managed De Graafschap (1982-1984), PSV Eindhoven (1987-1990), Fenerbahçe (1990-1991), Valencia (1991-1994), Netherlands (1994-1998), Real Madrid (1998-1999), Real Betis (1999-2000), South Korea (2000-2002), PSV Eindhoven (2002-2006), Australia (2005-2006), Russia (2006-Present), & Chelsea (2009).

Took the Netherlands national team to the semi-finals at the 1998 World Cup, and repeated the feat with the South Korea national team at the 2002 World Cup.

In 1988, he won Dutch Professional league, FA Cup, and the European Champions Cup, which is today' champions league. In December, 1998, he won Toyota Cup as the head coach of Real Madrid.
