Eric Young And Bobby Roode Granted Tna Release

21 March 2016 1:23 AM, PDT | Obsessed with Film | See recent Obsessed with Film news »

ImpactWrestling.com

In yet another sign that Tna is in its death throes, two of the company’s most loyal performers have asked for and been granted their release.

Both Eric Young and Bobby Roode fulfilled their final commitments at this past weekend’s tapings and have officially departed the organization they had been with for more than a decade.

The news comes as a bit of a surprise because we all assumed both men would remain with the promotion until it ceased to exist, but this could be a case of abandoning ship before it’s fully submerged.

Heading into the TV taping both men were champions, with Roode holding the tag team titles alongside his Beer Money partner James Storm while Young was the King of the Mountain. 10 Times WWE Misread Their Own Audience

17 March 2016 6:58 AM, PDT | Obsessed with Film | See recent Obsessed with Film news »

WWE.com

Standing there adorned in his cape and crown, the 1995 King Of The Ring winner soaked up boos from the World Wrestling Federation’s fans. ‘King’ Mabel had been crowned, defeating the likes of The Undertaker and Savio Vega on his way to becoming only the third ‘King’ in the history of the event on pay-per-view. There was only one major problem, fans weren’t booing because they detested Mabel as a top heel, they were jeering because they hated the idea of him being in main events.

Previous King Of The Ring winners like Bret Hart and Owen Hart had seemed deserved, due to their incredible skill inside the ring. Mabel was simply an extremely large man, a physical attribute Vince McMahon seemed to think would be enough to explain why he was headlining. »

Kurt Angle Discusses Possibly Fighting Mma Legend

29 January 2016 7:34 PM, PST | Obsessed with Film | See recent Obsessed with Film news »

ImpactWrestling.com

Months back, during Bellator 145: Vengeance, Bellator Mma unveiled its newest big name connection to the pro wrestling world: Kurt Angle. Angle joined the Bellator Mma family that night, stepping into the broadcast booth to add his insights into the Bobby Lashley vs. James Thompson fight (the most watched bout of the evening, which Lashley handily won).

He was also immediately confronted with the obvious question: would he fight in Bellator? To make a long story short, Angle said he would consider it.

Now, he’s talking possible opponents, and he’s being pretty realistic about just who he wants to face.

Speaking to The Roman Show, Angle said he was not planning on fighting anyone in their prime (so you can probably eliminate a bout with Bobby Lashley), but was absolutely open to fighting an “Mma legend” – and he absolutely named names.

Of course, I’m not »
