According to multiple outlets, Elrod will appear on Season 5 as “lifestyle” celebrity Travis Brenner.

That's... different.

Look for Elrod’s character to drop-dead gorgeous (sort of hard to avoid when this actor is playing with) and to have a million Instagram followers.

He and Severide will cross paths on a fire call, after which the rescue squad lieutenant will be tempted to join Brenner’s fast-paced inner circle.

It certainly sounds like a unique direction for the series to go in.

In addition to his Grey’s Anatomy role as Dr. William Thorpe, Elrod’s television resume includes stints on The Young and the Restless and Men in Trees.

Chicago Fire Season 5 premieres Tuesday,

Director Peter Berg is not shy about letting the intentions of his latest film Lone Survivor be known. From the opening shots of real life Navy Seals undergoing intense physical and psychological training it is apparent Berg is using this to showcase the bravery of the men and women who volunteer to protect their country. Lone Survivor depicts the real life story of the botched ‘Operation Red Wings’ where four Navy Seals attempted to capture and kill a high ranking member of the Taliban.

This is certainly a story that needs to be told, and Berg does the story justice by crafting some of the most intense battle sequences since Black Hawk Down. You will feel the sharp sting of the hurtling bullets,

"Home Run" Rounds The Bases

In the realm of inspirational sports movies, Home Run doesn’t quite fit in. It doesn’t hinge on the underdog team winning a trophy but instead focuses on one disgraced sportsman overcoming addiction. It’s meant to be an uplifting and spiritual film (which it is), yet it does so without completely descending into Christian propaganda that makes similarly-minded films so heavy-handed (like October Baby).

Baseball super star Cory Brand (Scott Elrod) is a belligerent alcoholic. After getting mightily aggressive on the field, going so far as to minorly assault the batboy, he’s suspended from the team. His sassy manager Helene (Vivica A. Fox) does some damage control and sends him to a rehab program in his hometown and forces him to coach a little league team. One of the boys on that team, Tyler (Charles Henry Wyson), turns out to be his son via Cory’s high

New DVD Blu-ray: 'Much Ado About Nothing,' 'The Purge,' 'The Exorcist'

Roadside Attractions

Moviefone's Top DVD of the Week:

"Much Ado About Nothing"

What's It About? Joss Whedon's ("The Avengers") modern retelling of the Shakespeare classic follows two couples with different takes on romance. Benedick (Alexis Denisof) and Beatrice (Amy Acker) are older and disdainful of their love, while the sweet young Claudio (Fran Kranz) and Hero (Jillian Morgese) are deeply absorbed by their love.

Why We're In: Whedon's "Much Ado About Nothing" is a refreshing and charming take on the classic comedy for its unique blending of the Shakespearian dialogue with a contemporary setting and aesthetic. While it sticks to the original content and doesn't add anything wholly revolutionary, it's nonetheless an entertaining addition to the canon of Shakespeare film adaptations.

'Home Run' review: Vivica A. Fox and Scott Elrod manage only a ground rule double

  • Pop2it
The first rule of any baseball movie is that the guys cast to star in it have to look like they can play. And in "Home Run," Scott Elrod had the build, the swagger and the sweet swing of a big leaguer. That makes him and this thin tale of 12-step redemption credible and watchable, if nothing else.

Elrod, a character actor who played a hunk hired to perform the fake film script in "Argo," here is a big-league slugger with alcohol problems and daddy issues.

The booze we can see in his everyday routine -- dumping out the soft drink, filling the cup with vodka. And the daddy problems we're shown in a prologue, when a young Cory Brand had to "be a man" and take fastballs from his drunken, abusive father.

It all blows up that day Cory's drunkenly called out after hitting what he thought was an inside-the-park home run.
