Resident Evil: Afterlife (2010)

11 September 2010 1:38 PM, PDT | Planet Fury | See recent Planet Fury news »

Directed by: Paul W.S. Anderson

Written by: Paul W.S. Anderson

Cast: Milla Jovovich, Ali Larte, Kim Coates, Shawn Roberts, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Spencer Locke, Boris Kodjo, Wentworth Miller, Sienna Guillory, Kacey Barnfield, Norman Yeung, Fulvio Cecere, Ray Olubowale

Resident Evil: Afterlife kicks off right where its predecessor Extinction faded away; Alice and her little army of clones hit the insidious and evil Umbrella Corporation hard in Tokyo. The Japanese based installation is overrun and destroyed, and all of the clones are destroyed along with it - a heavy (and slightly convenient) toll. Worse is that Alice drops her common sense in order to deliver a cheesy one-liner, which sets her up to get hypodermically pricked by trickster mastermind and incredibly snappy dresser Albert Wesker. Alice is injected with a compound that effectively strips her of her oh wow super T-Virus powers. It is back to guns for Alice.

Resident Evil: Afterlife Movie Review

Title: Resident Evil: Afterlife Directed By: Paul W.S. Anderson Starring: Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter, Kim Coates, Shawn Roberts, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Spencer Locke, Boris Kodjoe, Wentworth Miller, Kacey Barnfield, Norman Yeung Thanks to Resident Evil: Apocalypse and Extinction, there are no high hopes for the franchise’s fourth installment, Afterlife. Even the promotional material highlights the fact that this is going to be just more of the same and sure enough, more of the same is exactly what we’re getting. There’s tacky dialogue, underdeveloped characters, poorly constructed plot points and utterly ridiculous stunts, but Milla Jovovich is back as Alice and just like in Resident Evil, Apocalypse and Extinction, even as the film [...] »
