Majored in mass communications at Louisiana State.

He showed potential in 2004 in NFL Europe as player of the year while winning the World Bowl for the Berlin Thunder. In the NFL, however, he has struggled in the few opportunities he has gotten backing up Tom Brady.

He was released by the Patriots on August 29, 2005, and signed with the Cardinals on September 28, 2005.

He was selected by the New England Patriots out of LSU with the 19th pick of the 4th round of the 2002 NFL Draft.
