Michael Montero products
Michael Montero was born and raised in humble, working class beginnings in the Detroit area. While in high school, his father relocated the family to Charlotte, North Carolina in search of a better life. It was there that Michael would eventually discover his passion for acting...
Back in school Montero was an athlete; excelling in basketball, football and boxing. His love of "the sweet science" continues today as he covers fights for different boxing publications. In his late teens he found music and started producing underground mix tapes. He would go on to run a home studio and stay involved with music into his mid twenties; independently producing and distributing three albums with his brother and other underground artists...
At 18 Michael decided to serve his country and became a United States Marine. Following the completion of his military duty, he began a career in the financial industry and quickly excelled there. In 2006 he stumbled upon acting and instantly fell in love, referring to it as his "therapy"...
Although he got off to a late start, Montero has made a lot of noise in a short time - having booked speaking roles on television shows like "Army Wives" and "Tyler Perry's House of Payne". He has trained with notable instructors such as Mark Sikes, Wayne Dvorak and at the legendary Groundlings Improv School, among others. In 2008 he tried his hand at writing and produced a short film entitled "Demons for Angels", which was selected for several festivals...
Today Michael resides in LA, where he consistently trains and works vigorously to develop his craft.
