It was a month ago when Shadow and Act reported that Morris ChestnutLauren London, and Tia Mowry were all in contention for parts in playwright/director David E. Talbert's rom-com, Baggage Claim, for Fox Searchlight, based on his best-selling debut novel about a flight attendant with thirty days and thirty thousand miles to find a husband. We can now officially confirm that, amidst all the names that have been mentioned as attached to this project, Chestnut, London, Mowry, and also Christina Milian, are all going to be in the film. No word yet on what roles exactly all of them will play, but we'll find out soon enough. »

Lots of male-pattern casting to get to today.  Let's take a gander: Nate Parker (Arbitrage) has boarded director Jaume Collet-Serra's airplane thriller Non-Stop, starring Liam Neeson. Adam Brody (Mr. and Mrs. Smith) joins Baggage Claim from writer/director/producer David E. Talbert, a rom-com adaptation of his own novel. Ben Bailey will step out of the Cash Cab and into Ken Scott's Starbuck remake, opposite Vince Vaughn. Cam Gigandet (Twilight) and Nick Thune (Knocked Up) join Johnson, a raunchie indie comedy directed by Huck Botko (The Virginity Hit) from a Jeff Tetreault script. Adam Brody Joins Romcom Baggage Claim

Adam Brody, whose latest film The Oranges, opening October 5th has joined the cast of Fox Searchlight’s romantic comedy Baggage Claim – Grammy-nominated R&B artist Trey Songz and Private Practice star Taye Diggs are also set for feature adaptation of a novel written by David E. Talbert.

Talbert also wrote the screenplay and is directing and producing the adaptation of his own bestselling 2003 novel.

Paula Patton is starring as the flight attendant, named Montana Moore, with Derek Luke, Djimon Hounsou, Octavia Spencer, Lauren London and Jill Scott also on board.

Frustrated with being single, Moore embarks on a 30-day, 30,000-mile barnstorm across America to find an appropriate boyfriend as her younger sister’s wedding approaches. Along the way she meets several interested prospects, including a preacher, a politician and a tycoon.

Derek Luke co-stars as her long-time friend and potential suitor.

Adam Brody has boarded David E. Talbert's romantic comedy Baggage Claim. The project already stars Paula Patton and Derek Luke alongside Octavia Spencer, Taye Diggs, Djimon Hounsou, Lauren London and Jill Scott.

The comedy follows female flight attendant Montana Moore (Paula Patton), who is on a mission to find a man before her sister's wedding. Derek Luke will be playing her close friend and possible love interest.

Adam Brody plays a co-worker that sets up an elaborate scheme to find Montana a husband before Christmas. David E. Talbert is directing from his own script, which is an adaptation of a book he wrote back in 2003.

Tim Roth Books 'Knifeman'

Tim Roth is "Knifeman." According to Deadline.com, Roth has signed on to star in the series as John Tattersall, a self-educated surgeon who isn't afraid of breaking boundaries to unravel secrets.

David Cronenberg will direct the pilot and serve as an executive producer on the series. Sam Raimi also serves as an executive producer.

The series comes from Media Rights Capital, but no network has been named yet. Rolin Jones, woh is known for his work on "Friday Night Lights" and "Boardwalk Empire," wrote the pilot. For more on "Knifeman," click over to Deadline.com.
