Lin-Manuel Miranda will tell the story of Alexander Hamilton on 'Drunk History'
Lin-Manuel Miranda may have left Hamilton but he's still not entirely done with the story. During Comedy Central's Drunk History panel at Comic-Con yesterday, Derek Waters announced that Miranda will be in season four to — surprise, surprise — drunkenly narrate the rivalry between Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr. Sure, it's not the same as getting a ticket to Hamilton but a drunk Miranda is sure to make things much funnier than the Broadway show. Comedy Central also announced an impressive roster of guest stars that will show up in the fourth season: Billie Joe Armstrong, Steve Berg, Rachel Bilson, Michael Cera, Josh Charles, Kat Dennings, Ben Folds, Dave Grohl, Tony Hale, Ed Helms, Thomas Middleditch, Elizabeth Olsen, Aubrey Plaza, Ronda Rousey, Liev Schreiber, Alia Shawkat, and Duncan Trussell. Season 4 premieres Tuesday, September 27 at 10:30.

The new season will transport viewers back in time to hang out with the founding fathers — and Broadway’s “Hamilton” superstar Lin-Manuel Miranda will narrate the rivalry between Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr.

Paget Brewster will narrate the friendship between First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, played by Busy Phillips, and Soviet soldier Lyudmila Pavlichenko, portrayed by Mae Whitman, and their fight for women’s rights. Allan McLeod explains how the divided dispute on whether British actor William Macready (Jack McBrayer) or American actor Edwin Forrest (David Koechner) was the better thespian.

Other featured players include Billie Joe Armstrong, Steve Berg, Rachel Bilson, Michael Cera, Josh Charles, Kat Dennings, Ben Folds, Dave Grohl, Tony Hale

La Rejects! Win a Chance to Visit ‘Harmontown’ and Meet ‘Community’ Creator Dan Harmon

A long time ago, there used to be a show on television called Community, and everyone loved it because it was stirringly funny, used the language of culture in order to explore the dimensions of humanity, and because Alison Brie had the whole sexy innocence thing down to a science. Or an art. Or some kind of art-based science. Some claim the show will eventually return, but even if it does, it will do so without creator Dan Harmon. Fortunately for all of us, he’s been touring the country with his friends, trying to find people willing to become citizens of “Harmontown.” He’s bringing that show (along with Marc Maron, Duncan Trussell and Bobcat Goldthwait) back home to Los Angeles, and now you can win a pair of tickets to their Homecoming program at the Egyptian Theater this Monday (2/4). We’ll even personally introduce you to Harmon and his special guests. So

Comedian Duncan Trussell probably has “Cancer!!!”

“One of my sweet testicles has gone rogue and will soon be feeding mice in a dumpster,” tweeted comedian Duncan Trussell yesterday. He wasn’t kidding: In a very funny Facebook post for one of the venue that was hosting a show he had to cancel, Trussell announced there’s a “90 percent chance” that he has testicular cancer—or, as he wrote, “Cancer!!!” “The truth is that I've never paid much attention to my balls,” he wrote. “Outside of occasionally horrifying myself by holding a hand mirror near them, they've been something that I've intentionally ignored ...

Funny or Die’s ‘Drunk History’ Picked up by Comedy Central

That Ryan Gosling, Eva Mendes, and Jim Carrey-starring Christmas-themed installment of Drunk History, which aired in December 2011 was the first time internet audiences were given an installment of the alcohol-infused Funny or Die web series since the last time. The last time an episode of the program, which depicts tall tales and/or historical events as recited by any number of inebriated comedians and re-enacted by any number of highly notable actors (like Michael Cera, Don Cheadle, Zooey Deschanel, and more) was released to the web by way of Funny or Die was way back in June 2010. That was when Duncan Trussell talked all blotto about the professional relationship between Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison. The next time fans of the series will see an installment of the Funny or Die online original could be any day, but instead of seeing it on Funny or Die, they may see it on television.

The project stars Will Greenberg and Amanda Walsh as the couple Scott and Kelly, along with Duncan Trussell, Lindsay Hollister, James Kirkland, Niki Schwartz-Wright, Mhairi Steenbock, and Kana Mayham. Watch out for the surprise twist ending! "The exercise of making The Master Cleanse was to see if we could make a short and strip away all of our tricks; no action, no chase scenes, no fancy angles, or violence, and see if two people talking about universal relationship problems could be as compelling as an all girls high octane pillow fight," Strauss-Shulson told Tubefilter. "In a way it was a filmmaking master cleanse for us.
