‘Godzilla’ Behind the Scenes Video; Bryan Cranston Compares Film to ‘Jaws’

15 January 2014 3:34 PM, PST | ScreenRant.com | See recent Screen Rant news »

There’s a lot of anticipation surrounding the upcoming Godzilla (which topped our Most Anticipated Movies of 2014 countdown), given the high-pedigree of talent involved. That includes a cast with Aaron-Taylor Johnson (Kick-Ass 1&2), Elizabeth Olsen (Martha Marcy May Marlene), Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) and Sally Hawkins (Blue Jasmine), among others.

Last time the big lizard made a trip to North America, it was 1998 and he had Stargate and Independence Day co-writer Dean Devlin and co-writer/director Roland Emmerich serving as the tour guides. In 2014, the King of Monsters will be receiving a makeover from director Gareth Edwards (Monsters), drawing from a script that was written by Max Borenstein (Seventh Son) and received (uncredited?) revisions by Frank Darabont (creator of The Walking Dead TV show).

UTA Signs John Lithgow, Patrick Stewart As Clients Follow Brian Swardstrom And Danie Streisand

10 January 2014 12:47 PM, PST | Deadline New York | See recent Deadline New York news »

Exclusive: John Lithgow and Patrick Stewart are the latest actors who’ve followed Brian Swardstrom and Danie Streisand to UTA from Wme. We told you he was taking almost all of the clients on his roster when Swardstrom, the longtime partner at Endeavor and then Wme, left late last year and landed as a partner at UTA. Much like what happened when Dan Aloni and Warren Zavala left CAA to go to Wme, the agent’s longtime clients made a fast change of address. A lot of these clients, including Lithgow and Stewart, are active in legit so the exits sting a bit more. Here are the clients who’ve formally made the switch and bolstered the talent ranks at UTA: Jamie Bell, Ben Foster, Fifty Shades Of Grey helmer Sam-Taylor Johnson, Aaron Johnson, Emile Hirsch, Homeland‘s Damian Lewis, Frances McDormand, Edward Norton, Dexter‘s Michael C. Hall, »

1 January 2014 1:20 PM, PST | Cinelinx | See recent Cinelinx news »

It’s a new year and film fans are looking forward to this year’s crop of movies. Some are more anticipated than others. Here is an alphabetical list of 14 of my most eagerly awaited films for 2014.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2: The first of several planned sequels to The Amazing Spider-Man ups the ante this time with three villains: Electro (Jamie Foxx), the Rhino (Paul Giamatti) and the Green Goblin (Chris Cooper). There is also a rumor that Felicity Jones may be playing the Black Cat. In the film, our arachnid hero learns more about the mystery of his parent’s deaths while the threat from Oscorp and its reclusive owner Norman Osborn begins to grow. Andrew Garfield reprises his role of the heroic Peter Parker/Spider-Man, and Emma Stone is back as his lovely love interest Gwen Stacy. Marc Webb directs. The film comes out on May 2 nd. »
