R. Kelly Says 'The Notebook' Inspired Him To Divorce His Wife
Some Ryan Gosling fans might argue that the 2004 film "The Notebook" is one of the greatest love stories ever told, but R. Kelly claims it ruined his marriage, reports TMZ.

The singer finalized his divorce from his wife of 12 years, Andrea Lee Kelly, in 2009, but in his new memoir "Soulacoaster: The Diary of Me," Kelly reveals that the romantic film made him realize his marriage wasn't meant to last.

"As the film credits started to roll, I couldn't move. I burst into tears. People walking past me patted me on the back, trying to console me. 'The Notebook' was beautiful, and I was crying because its hero and heroine had died together," the 45-year-old writes in the memoir. "But I was also crying because I remembered a Valentine's Day -- when a helicopter dropped a rainfall of roses -- that had come and gone ... My marriage had died.
