James Blunt offered a mea culpa for his biggest hit "You're Beautiful," admitting after all these years that the treacly love song "was force-fed down people's throats" and that "it became annoying." In the latest issue of Hello! magazine, Blunt says that the derision that met "You're Beautiful" began to affect him as an artist. He said that the "annoying" song meant that "people start to associate the artist with the same word." Blunt is under no illusions that he became pigeonholed as a certain artist: "I think, at the end of the day, I was

James Blunt is as sick of his gentle cooing as you are. In an interview with Hello!, the singer apologized for the way "You're Beautiful" filled radio airwaves in the last decade. "[The song] was force-fed down people's throats ... and it became annoying," he told the tabloid. "And then people started to associate [me] with the same word." Blunt also complained that his label painted him as "an insanely serious person," all because of "a couple of over-emotional miserable songs." Well, they don't call him James Subtle. »

Blunt words, James Blunt! The British singer criticized "You're Beautiful," the sentimental song that put him on the map, in a new interview. Blunt, 40, reflected on his recordings while speaking with Hello! magazine. "There was one song that was force-fed down people's throats — 'You're Beautiful' — and it became annoying," the musician said of his breakout 2005 hit single, which topped the Billboard 200 and went multiplatinum. "People start to associate the artist with the same word." The emotional number had Blunt crooning about lost love, standing [...] »
This week, X Factor introduced its contestants to the 1980s and then eliminated two of them. Heres the whole weekend as it happened, with Stuart Heritage.
And that really is it. Four down, twelve to go. So, as we say goodbye to Stephanie and Chloe, let me quickly just thank you for coming along and making me miss the first 15 minutes of Homeland because Ive got to read all your comments now.
The liveblog returns next Saturday, for X Factors Songs From The Movies night, where the contestants are almost guaranteed to sing a selection of songs from plays and TV shows and adverts but not from actual films. If this deluge of gibberish inexplicably isnt enough for you, follow me on Twitter (Im @StuHeritage). If it is, though, then who could possibly blame you? See you next week!

After last nights marathon, two X Factor contestants were shown the door. Stuart Heritage liveblogged the entire weekend, as it happened.
And that really is it for the weekend. While we say goodbye and good job I didnt bother to memorise your surnames to Blonde Electra and Overload Generation, its time for me to say goodbye.
Youve been wonderful, but then again I never had any doubts to the contrary. Ill be back here next Saturday, when X Factor will only be two hours long. Imagine! Also, why not follow me on Twitter (Im @StuHeritage) to see me whining about liveblogging throughout the week in real time? Now get out of here. Weve already missed 15 minutes of Homeland.
Thankfully, this is probably the right decision. I was worried for a second there. That said, it would have been funny if theyd stayed, just because Simon hates them so much. »

It's official! James Blunt celebrated his wedding to British socialite Sofia Wellesley, in Majorca on Friday in front of close friends and family. According to the Daily Mail, the famous singer got married in a private ceremony at a London registry office on Sept. 5, just one night after the couple attended Elton John's annual End of Summer party in Windsor. A source tells us that the Spanish celebration took place between noon and 2 p.m. local time and that the party took place on the estate of Marsana—a large(and stunning!) property owned by Sofia's mother, Corinne Vaes. The newlyweds left the venue in a bronze Vw Beetle and seemed blissfully in love as they drove off with the »
As he made his finale address at Sunday's closing night concert for the Invictus Games, Prince Harry was feted by hundreds of servicemen and women and thousands of pop fans for his role in setting up the international Paralympic-style games. He started by asking for the wave from the front of the stage to the back. And as the British team received its medal, team captain David Henson led the 26,000-strong crowd in three cheers for the prince. In the crowd were some of Harry's closest friends as well as ex-girlfriend Cressida Bonas and her pal cousin Princess Eugenie. Harry »

Prince Harry was the center of the action Friday when he took part in a wheelchair rugby exhibition at the Invictus Games. Harry's team included his cousin Zara Tindall, and they played against a team starring Tindall's husband Mike Tindall and British Olympian Dame Kelly Holmes. The teams emerged to raucous applause and the prince, 29, scored within the first few seconds, much to the delight of the excitable crowd. The more than 7,000 spectators included Princess Kate's siblings, Pippa and James Middleton, as well as Zara's brother Peter Phillips. Kate herself was noticeably absent, due to her severe morning sickness. During the game, »

A dream came true for Prince Harry on Wednesday. He watched, beaming with pride, as wounded and sick veterans paraded in London's Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park at the opening of the Invictus Games - his brainchild, which he brought to fruition in less than a year. The hour-long event included a ceremonial show of military pomp and a flyby from the Raf Red Arrows, and finished with Harry, 29, emotionally saluting the servicemen and women who've given so much. "Your stories move, inspire and humble us. You prove that anything is possible, if you have the will," said Harry, himself a former pilot. »

Are James Blunt and girlfriend Sofia Wellesley married? Was there a secret wedding this weekend? Singer James Blunt has reportedly got married. The 'Bonfire Heart' hitmaker, 40, has tied the knot with Sofia Wellesley at a small chapel in Campanet, Mallorca, the Sunday Express newspaper reports. The singer proposed to the blonde beauty, who is the granddaughter of the Duke of Wellington, last December following a year of dating after his sister Daisy introduced them to one another in 2012. A source said previously: ''Everyone is talking about it. We were sort of expecting it but it is still great news.'' The 'You're Beautiful' hitmaker previously admitted he feels ''lucky'' to have Sofia as his girlfriend because she is so understanding and supportive of his career. He said at the time: ''I'm very happy at the moment with Sofia. It takes a strong person to be able to deal with somebody working in music. »
George Clooney has decided on his next directorial effort, this one an adaptation of Nick Davies' "Hack Attack: The Inside Story of How the Truth Caught Up With Rupert Murdoch" exploring the 2011 British phone-hacking scandal surrounding Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. which ended in the shuttering of "The News of the World" after 168 years of publication. Quoted by The Hollywood Reporter, Clooney said, "This has all the elements -- lying, corruption, blackmail -- at the highest levels of government by the biggest newspaper in London, and the fact that it's true is the best part. Nick is a brave and stubborn reporter and we consider it an honor to put his book to film." It will be interesting to see how Clooney approaches the project. As of now there's no word on who will write the screenplay, though I could assume it will be Clooney and frequent writing partner »

"Weird Al" Yankovic is pleased to report that he had no issues with the artists whose songs he parodies on his new Mandatory Fun, and, in fact, got the green-light for everything he wanted. "I was very lucky — this is my first album in a long time that didn't have any actual drama," Yankovic, who's had low-key tussles with the likes of James Blunt and Eminem in the recent past, tells Billboard. "It seems like my last few albums have always had some problems around the release, and this is the first time where I've gotten

Oh, you know what, we're feeling ever so excited. Finally, after what feels like forever, Made in Chelsea is back tonight. And given that every series so far has given us some fantastic moments, it's no wonder we're anticipating it so much! To celebrate, we just had to look over our favourite bits from the past six series (and hand out some honourable mentions too, of course...)
Series 1: Spencer's mad dash to the airport
Ah, do you remember when Spencer wasn't quite as devilish as he is now? Back in series one, Spenny was completely in love with the beautiful Caggie Dunlop, leading to a movie-style mad dash to the airport in the finale. Everything about this was excellent, from Hugo telling his bestie to stop acting like a "pussy" and "get off his arse and go to the airport", to Caggie telling Millie that saying goodbye to Spenny broke her heart, »
We've been lingering outside the Bluebird. We've been including awkward silences in our conversations. We've been donning our tweed. But we can't match up to the real stars of Made in Chelsea... so we can't wait to see what they have in store in the new series! It's just a few days away now (it's back on Monday, Monday!) so we caught up with Jamie Laing, Oliver Proudlock and Fran Newman-Young for a chat over sweeties (but where was the Candy Kittens merch?). Read on to find out what we learned from them...
1. It's going to be the best series yet. Obviously.
Jamie: "It's always the best series yet!"
Proudlock: "It somehow gets better and better. It somehow always gets better and better."
Jamie: "It's like a snowball going down a hill - it just gets bigger and bigger."
Proudlock: "When you start a new season, »
