For over 15 years Ryan has worked professionally in the industry as a film maker, art director, animator, photographer, illustrator, and designer for various clients and projects of all shapes and sizes. He received acclaim for his work on the indie film, "The Other Side of Paradise," directed by Justin D. Hilliard which he cowrote, produced and was the director of photography. In 2011 Ryan made some waves with the scene he directed in honor of SLACKER 2011, featuring John Slate from the original film, rewriting the conspiracy suggesting that Disney killed Jim Henson instead of the Kennedy assassination. Recently he's credited with doing title work for Richard Linklater's "Everybody Wants Some," and has done varying jobs on several other big studio projects such as Reel FX's "The Book of Life," credited as a Digital Animatics Artist. Since 2014 he's helped pioneer the Live Action VR department at Reel FX in Dallas, making him one of the most experienced VR artists in the country.
He has a passion for originality and giving birth to engaging perspectives and concepts that exudes. Outside of his "day job," Ryan is consumed with his passion projects. Presently, he's deeply involved in an art collective band project called "These Machines are Winning." Joining forces with Dylan Silvers ( D.A.R.Y.L., Polyphonic Spree ), Ryan has helped nurture a massive collaboration with over a dozen different artists and musicians developing full studio albums, a graphic novel series and cinematic narrative music videos.
