Robin Williams’ Final Film ‘Boulevard’ Afm-Bound; Pair Join Catherine Zeta-Jones’ ‘Godmother'; More

Robin Williams’ final feature film, Dito Montiel’s domestic drama Boulevard, has been picked up for international distribution by Inception Film Partners and will be sold during the American Film Market next month in Santa Monica. Kathy Baker, Bob Odenkirk and Roberto Aguire co-star in the pic, which stars Williams as a lonely married man who begins to confront the emptiness that permeates his life. Williams officially joined the project in January 2013. Douglas Soesbe penned the script. Camellia Entertainment produced. “Robin Williams’ performance as a man in a heartbreaking struggle to find his place in the world is both heroic and poignant and Boulevard is an extraordinary coda to an indelible performer’s life,” said Inception partner Andy Reimer. He and Jim Harvey negotiated the deal on behalf of Inception, with Preferred Content and Wme on behalf of the filmmakers. Preferred Content and Wme are handling North American rights.

Lotus to sell Replicas at Afm

With one week to go before the start of the market a number of projects are trickling in, led by Lotus Entertainment’s sci-fi thriller Replicas and Dark Was The Night from Premiere Entertainment Group.

Reeves will star in and produce Replicas alongside Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Stephen Hamel.

Lotus Entertainment’s Bill Johnson, Jim Seibel, Ara Keshishian and DJ Gugenheim serve as executive producers on the story of a neuroscientist desperate to bring back his family after a car accident.

Tanya Wexler will direct from a screenplay by Chad St John and production is set for spring 2015. CAA handles Us rights.

Premiere Entertainment Group has acquired the international sales rights to Caliber Media’s Dark Was The Night directed by Jack Heller

The film premiered at ScreamFest in Los Angeles last week and the story of an ancient woodland evil stars Kevin Durand from TV’s The Strain and Lukas Haas. Rounding out the »
