Spend an hour watching Robin Meade and you might start to feel a little dizzy.
Meade, the long-standing Hln morning anchor, was holding forth earlier this week at 6 a.m. on “Morning Express,” the program that takes up the biggest part of the CNN-owned network’s schedule. She had to juggle the biggest stores of the morning – the impeachment proceedings and the Grammys that took place the night before -p while continuing to pivot back every few segments to covering another angle of the tragic death of Kobe Bryant. And she had to find time to make room for appearances by some of the show correspondents. Jennnifer Westhoven had a story about pharmacies in supermarkets being closed. Meteorologist Bob Van Dillen had “you are there” footage of being on the Outlaw Mountain Coaster in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
Despite the news whirl, Meade is one of the most stable things...

CBS News plans to hurl a new anchor squad into TV’s morning-news wars Monday when a different trio – Gayle King, Anthony Mason and Tony Dokoupil – takes the helm at “CBS This Morning.” The A.M. effort that has won critical plaudits by focusing on harder news topics, like international affairs and business, and has given CBS new momentum in a daypart dominated by ABC’s “Good Morning America” and NBC’s “Today” that it struggled in the past to conquer. But the show has ceded ground in recent months.
That doesn’t mean CBS is going to abandon the program’s newsier premise, says Diana Miller, its new executive producer. Viewers still won’t be seeing an abundance of cooking segments or summer concert series. “We are certainly not going to be doing less news,” she says. “In this day and age, there’s no shortage of it.

Former Pittsburgh Steelers star Hines Ward is joining the Turner family, as a regular contributor on Hln’s “Morning Express With Robin Meade” and an analyst across all CNN platforms. “I’m really excited. I feel like I’m going from nationwide to worldwide, and I couldn’t be happier or more grateful for this opportunity,” Ward told TheWrap. “I have a tremendous opportunity with CNN. A Tennessee teen named Texanna Edwards was barred from attending her prom on Saturday for literally wrapping herself in the Confederate flag. She was denied entry because her glittery Rebel-patterned dress was deemed “offensive and inappropriate” by school officials. On Headline News' Morning Express With Robin Meade Thursday morning, anchor Robin Meade and meteorologist Bob Van Dillen had a little bit of fun at Edwards' expense, but not because of her Confederacy-celebrating attire.
