'Seconds Apart' will leave you wanting seconds! (Movie Review)

18 August 2011 4:16 PM, PDT | Horrorbid | See recent Horrorbid news »

Seconds Apart is a film I have been waiting to see for quite a while now because I am personally a big fan of the Entin twins, Gary and Edmund Entin who were in previous film which I also loved called Rest Stop. The Entin twins were creepy in Rest Stop as well as they were in Seconds Apart, but this time these twins are the stars of the film. I honestly could go on for hours about these twins but I'm going to cut to the chase about the film.… »

DVD Review - Seconds Apart (2011)

1 June 2011 1:53 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Seconds Apart, 2011.

Directed by Antonio Negret.

Starring Orlando Jones, Edmund Entin and Gary Entin.

Synopsis:

Damned from the moments of their births, two brothers possess a gruesome talent for telekinesis - a power they use in the most horrific ways imaginable.

If cinema history has taught us anything, it’s that twins are scary as hell and not to be trusted. Case in point is Seconds Apart, a chiller/thriller from Colombian director Antonio Negret and first-time feature writer George Richards.

The twins in question are played by real life twins Gary and Edmund Entin who are quite simply excellent in their roles. They are genuinely creepy and feel like a cross between Ricky Fitts from American Beauty and the Grady Daughters from The Shining. While their dialogue feels fairly forced and clichéd, the Entin twins do a very good job of making the content fit the bill.

Two is always better than one, right? Well, in the Entin brothers’ case, I’d say so because otherwise, one or the other would have his work cut out for him doubling as a set of telekinetic twins in Seconds Apart. The film is one of seven After Dark Originals films due out on January 28th in which Edmund Entin and his brother Gary star as Seth and Jonah, twins with an unusual and dangerous ability. When their classmates begin to die, the brothers become prime suspects. However the police should be the least of their worries because jealously winds up turning the brothers into their own worst enemies. Just the [...] »
