Those who were waiting for “Death on the Nile” to start streaming are in luck – the murder mystery thriller will be available on HBO Max and Hulu later in March in the U.S.
The follow-up to “Murder on the Orient Express” was released exclusively in theaters on February 11, but will be making its streaming debut just over a month later on March 29.
Additional 20th Century Studios films released exclusively in theaters last year have been making streaming debuts in early 2022: “The Last Duel” landed on HBO Max in January, “Free Guy” and “Th King’s Men” came to HBO Max and Disney+ in February and “West Side Story” is now streaming on HBO Max and Disney+.
The simultaneous release on HBO Max and Hulu for “Death on the Nile” is a product of an existing deal between Fox and Warner Bros. that extends through 2022, and similarly saw Guillermo del Toro...

Patrick Stewart, Miranda Hart and Hugh Bonneville were among the stars who appeared in a one-off production of The Mousetrap last night (November 18). Julie Walters and Tamsin Greig also starred in the 25,000th show of the classic Agatha Christie saga, which holds the world record for the longest-running play. To mark its 60th year since its original opening in 1952, a gala performance was held at St Martin's Theatre in London's West End. Christie's grandson Mathew Prichard attended the event, and introduced the 25,000th performance. To me, they're not so much whodunnits as idontgeddits. I have tried many times over the years to get into Agatha Christie's books. It should be easy. I'm an omnivorous (if you're being polite; undiscriminating if you're not) reader. I am no fan of the modern world and particularly not of the gore that increasingly besplatters it whenever the words "murder mystery" or "crime fiction" heave into view.
But I have always found Christie unreadable. Frank Skinner in his autobiography explains that he can't enjoy fiction – any fiction – because the minute he opens a book to read "Alan walked into the room", he thinks, "No, he didn't. There was no Alan. There is no room. You...
