Roberto Bentivegna was born in London of Italian parents in 1982, grew up in Milan and London, and attended Emerson College in Boston before pursuing an MFA at Columbia University. His films have screened at international film festivals, including Locarno, Atlanta and Miami, at the Florence Lynch Gallery in Chelsea, New York, and are distributed by Film Movement and Shorts International. Since enrolling in the Film Division at Columbia University, Roberto has been awarded the Carla Kuhn fellowship, the Hollywood Foreign Press Award, the Alfred P. Sloan Screenwriting award and the 2008 Faculty Selects for "A Day in March". He is a semi-finalist in the Academy's Nicholl Fellowship. His most recent project is the screenplay "Shella" for Albert Watson and Palais Productions.
