Thursday Morning, fresh off controversy after claiming that Covid-19 was “ethnically targeted” towards certain races, presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. testified before The House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government.
Earlier this week, more than 100 Democrats filed a letter to the Judiciary Committee calling for Kennedy to be excluded from the hearing. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy himself said he disagreed “with everything [Kennedy] said,” but to exclude him would undermine the topic of the meeting itself: censorship.

The Republican spin machine seems to have encountered a jam.
Following the release late Tuesday night of a 54-page document outlining the Justice Department’s findings in the Aug. 8 raid on Donald Trump’s Palm Beach residence, the former president and his supporters are struggling to make their stories make sense.
The court filing was a response to Trump’s attempt to claim that the more than 100 classified documents seized during the raid were subject to executive privilege, and thus could not be reviewed by the DOJ. The filing included...

Facing the toughest two weeks of the coronavirus pandemic ahead, President Donald Trump used his platform today to remind everyone that it’s Palm Sunday, which begins Holy Week, the final week of Lent. The President said he would tune in remotely to a California service.
But instead of palm branches placed on the digital path, the Commander-in-Tweet had a few thorny issues to discuss in his early tweetstorm. The usual suspects were among the targets, including the media, Joe Biden, the Obama administration and the Fisa reports controversy. There was even a shout-out to controversial Joe Rogan, who apparently is shifting his support from Bernie Sanders to the President.

Fresh off a major rally in New Hampshire, President Donald Trump started off his Saturday tweetstorm by focusing on a brewing confrontation in Portland, Oregon between his supporters and the masked radical Antifa agitators.
Planned protests this weekend between left and right wing demonstrators could explode, as they have in that city in the past. President Trump and the Dept. of Justice have been keeping an eye on the situation, with yet another warning that Antifa bullying could result in further steps to curtail their activities.
We’ll keep an eye on Portland and on further tweetstorm activity as more rolls in. The tweetstorm so far:
I read that Trump rally was rambling/half-empty. I also read the opposite. I like to watch candidates' rallies myself so I can see… without the spin. I did so in 2016-16. It's not entirely why I predicted (starting in 15) Trump would win, but...

So far, this morning has largely been a retweet storm from President Donald Trump. Columnist Byron York from the Washington Examiner and Ned Ryun from the American Majority, a conservative grassroots consultancy, were particular favorites of the Trump Train.
The President also found time to put in a call to Us manufacturers to consider bringing their business back to domestic production if tariffs were causing them grief.
The tweetstorm so far:
I was Not going to fire Bob Mueller, and did not fire Bob Mueller. In fact, he was allowed to finish his Report with unprecedented help from the Trump Administration. Actually, lawyer Don McGahn had a much better chance of being fired than Mueller. Never a big fan!

Washington — The White House Correspondents Dinner has for years been about much more than the event itself: News organizations, internet firms and Washington power players have for years held their own fetes on days and nights surrounding the dinner.
This year is no exception. The arrival of Donald Trump’s administration to Washington also marked the end of some long-time parties, like a New Yorker bash and a Time-People party, but others have started. This year, Playboy is sponsoring an after-dinner “No Tie” party, hosted by Cooper Hefner, at a downtown D.C. location. The media outlet said it will mark its commitment to the First Amendment and a free press.
Other highlights of the weekend:
Thursday:
Bytes and Bylines — Allen Gannett, Eric Kuhn, John McCarthy, Susanna Quinn and Jon Steinberg host their annual event, along with Cheddar, this year at the residence of Ireland’s ambassador to the U.

Monday night on Fox, Greta Van Susteren reacted to the big Gop news of the day that New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has been left off the invitation list for the annual Conservative Political Action Conference. Herman Cain's departure from the presidential race may turn out to be good news for Newt Gingrich, as the current Gop frontrunner is starting to gain the support of some former Cain backers. Byron York pointed out on Fox News Sunday today that Gingrich is polling well in both Iowa and South Carolina, and has a real chance of winning the nomination because of conservative antipathy towards Mitt Romney.

Bill O'Reilly spoke about media coverage last night on The O'Reilly Factor, and specifically exasperated why the major network news outlets were ignoring the "New Black Panther" controversy that is getting so much play on Fox News. In the eyes his guest Byron York, "the continued success of fox, the continued success of conservative talk radio, and of conservative sites on the internet have actually pushed the so-called mainstream media a little farther to the left than they were before."...
