After an exhausting nationwide talent search which tested the talents of over two thousand girls, she played the starring role of 'Annie' to rave reviews and packed houses across the nation. But after a few months with the national touring production, she was unceremoniously fired before the show hit Broadway by producers who allegedly treated her with the same disregard that the fictional Miss Hannigan showed to Little Orphan Annie. In response to the firing, a lawsuit seeking $10 million to $50 million in punitive damages was filed on behalf of Pacitti. The matter ended up being settled out of court, and the terms were not disclosed.
