Trivia

On April 21, 2006, one week before principal photography was to begin on Steve's latest feature film, Trailer Trash, he was involved in a horrific motorcycle accident on an Interstate highway outside Phoenix, Arizona. Beside totaling Steve's red Harley Davidson at about 75 mph, Steve suffered 13 fractured vertebrae, a right pelvis fractured in three places, 7 broken ribs, a broken shoulder and a broken jaw, not to mention road rash on the right side of his face. (Nope. No helmet) Although he was only given a 50/50 chance that he would ever walk again, he actually walked out of the hospital 15 days later using a walker to stand upright. The accident pushed production back 6-8 months. Shooting will begin in Spring 2009. Steve bought his first motorcycle in 1963 and says that he will ride again once he regains the use of his left arm. His doctor says otherwise. This is the same doctor that said Steve would be in a hospital bed for 8-12 weeks.
