Aww! James Otto shares a quiet moment with his 7-week-old daughter Ava Katherine in her nursery in Nashville, Tenn. The country singer, 37, and wife Amy welcomed their first child on Aug. 24. “She is beautiful like her Mama and I am already wrapped around her tiny finger,” Otto said at the time of Ava’s birth.

Why Tom Whalley left Warner Bros. Records

Tom Whalley is out as Chairman/CEO at Warner Bros. Records.

Warner Bros. announced a new executive team in a press release. Rob Cavallo (currently Wmg’s Chief Creative Officer), will serve as Chairman, Todd Moscowitz (currently Executive Vice President of Warner Bros., CEO of Wmg’s Independent Label Group and President of Asylum Records) who will serve as Co-President and CEO and Livia Tortella (currently Executive Vice President and General Manager of Wmg’s Atlantic Records) will serve as Co-President and Chief Operating Officer.

Chief Operating Officer of Warner Bros. Records and President of Reprise Records Diarmuid Quinn is also stepping down.

Whalley sent the following memo to his staff Tuesday afternoon. (A letter from Lyor Cohen, Warner Music Group's Vice Chairman and CEO, is after the jump.)

It’s a girl for James Otto!

The country singer and wife Amy welcomed daughter Ava Katherine Otto at 9:23 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24 in Nashville, Tenn., his rep tells People.

Ava weighed in at 8 lbs. 2 oz. and is 19½ inches long.

“We can’t believe Ava is finally here! She is beautiful like her Mama and I am already wrapped around her tiny finger,” Otto, 37, said in a statement.

“I am so grateful I made it home in time to be here for her arrival — it has truly already changed our lives.”

Country singer James Otto has a lot on his plate these days: an upcoming album, touring alongside Toby Keith, but most importantly the impending birth of his first child with wife Amy.

“That’s a life changer,” Otto, 37, tells People Moms & Babies about the upcoming arrival — a daughter to be named Ava Katherine — who is expected to make her debut this week.

Anxiously awaiting her arrival, the 6’5″ Otto says he does have one wish to make the delivery a bit easier on Amy.
