Walt Disney Pictures, along with Pixar and Marvel Studios, has released a preview of their upcoming 2012 release schedule for movies opening between January and December of this New Year. These movies include Beauty and the Beast 3D, The Secret World of Arrietty, John Carter, Chimpanzee, Marvel's the Avengers, Brave, The Odd Life of Timothy Green, Finding Nemo, Frankenweenie, and Wreck-It Ralph.

Disney Channel is at it again. The premiere of holiday television movie Good Luck Charlie: It's Christmas, inspired by the cable network series Good Luck Charlie, hit ratings gold Friday evening. The Christmas movie delivered nearly 7 million total viewers (6.9 million to be more exact) at 8 p.m. Good Luck Charlie: It's Christmas averaged 3.3 million among kids 6-11, 2.4 million among tweens and 1.4 million among adults 18-49. Walt Disney has released the first images for their forthcoming Japanese import The Secret World of Arrietty.
Residing quietly beneath the floorboards are little people who live undetected in a secret world to be discovered, where the smallest may stand tallest of all. Beneath the floorboards of a sprawling mansion set in a magical, overgrown garden in the suburbs of Tokyo, tiny 14-year-old Arrietty lives with her equally tiny parents. The house is occupied by two old ladies, who are unaware of the existence of their miniature tenants.
Arrietty and her family live by “borrowing”. Everything they have, they borrow or make from the things they have borrowed. A sugar cube here, a scrap of material there. But only a little each time, so the ladies do not notice.

Fans of Studio Ghibli’s output will have probably already caught their latest, “The Secret World of Arrietty” already, but for those of you waiting for the English-dubbed version to show up in Stateside theaters, good news, it’s almost here.
