Martin left school at 15 and joined a touring youth theatre group for a few years. Into his 20s he got married and concentrated on bringing up his daughters by taking on a variety of jobs. In 2000 he returned to the film world, and has worked on many short films and independent features - along the way gaining great comments for bringing true emotion and realism to his characters.
